I’m starting a series within this year’s “Make New” collection, called Found Photography. Christened in honor of what I’ve quite literally found this month, “found photography” is all about not editing life and making just by using my senses. What have I seen this month? Ope! As in, the Midwest’s slang for… “Oh, I didn’t see you there.” Folks also like to use “ope” for a rather prolonged “welllll…”
Too much preamble, you say? Well, here’s the start of a little ol’ gallery dedicated to “ope,” with more discoveries to inevitably add. First, “ope” is nearly what anchors my soul (or sole) on my right ankle’s tattoo. Second, “ope” is almost there on the green park sign. Third, “ope” is also my phone background, a nod to using my device pragmatically, requiring a scroll if I need want something less pragmatic.

What have you found? Anything surprise you?
